CREAM LATTE Luxury Faux Fur Comforter
Our new comforter size is a smaller throw (140 x 90 cms – exactly half the size of one of our Standard 140 x 180 cm throws). It’s very versatile and is perfect for snuggling in an armchair. They are also great for kid’s rooms, the back seat of your car, caravans, boats etc. Comforters will also be appreciated by the elderly or infirm who might find that a full-sized throw is just a bit too cumbersome or heavy to handle.
Another one of our great value faux fur throws, on first look Cream Latte appears to be a flat cream colour, but actually has a very pale beige base with some very delicate silvering to the fur strands. These can reflect ambient light quite markedly, so expect it to subtly take on any nearby strong colours in the room! The beauty of it is that it is very neutral in palette, so is a safe bet in most locations. No need to worry about the light colour - this throw will be easy to clean using our machine washing instructions (a copy will be included with every purchase). Comes with cream faux suede backing with the same quality as all of our throws.
Plain light coloured fabrics are very difficult to describe or photograph accurately. If the exact shade is very important, we recommend getting a swatch sample, and maybe a few more from the cream/white range for comparison purposes.
Whilst we do everything we can to ensure that the images and descriptions on this site are an accurate representation of the goods on sale, they should not be solely relied upon, if the precise colours and shadings are critical to you, in which case we recommend that you obtain fabric samples prior to ordering.
Why is this? First, fabrics can be notoriously difficult to photograph accurately, especially the very subtle multiplicity of shades in many of our fabrics. The picture can be influenced by the ambient lighting conditions, the angle from which it is taken, and the light-reflectivity of the fabric, which can vary depending on its texture and finish. Secondly we have no control over the colour, contrast and brightness settings of your computer monitor or display which may vary significantly - modern tablet and phone devices in particular are often configured by default to make colours appear brighter than reality, which may be great for your holiday snaps but not good for viewing fabrics!

Delivery & returns
The shopping cart on this website will automatically price delivery charges for delivery within the UK, EC Europe and USA/Canada. For any other countries please contact us.
Our deliveries are contracted to outside carriers who deliver Mondays to Fridays (excluding public holidays) between the hours of 8-00am and 6-00pm. We regret that we are unable to specify exact delivery times as these are beyond our control. However, for most UK destinations, we now use DPD LOCAL for parcels over 2kg, which is a next working day service for most of UK (excluding offshore and certain remote Scottish Highland destinations).
Our DPD LOCAL orders are sent via their award winning PREDICT service and on the morning of delivery you will receive an email and/or SMS message (if mobile number is given when you place your order) which will indicate a one-hour time slot in which delivery will be made. This is an award-winning interactive service and you can instantly instruct the carrier to change the delivery day, leave parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place etc, should the delivery slot be inconvenient.
For UK deliveries only, you may request a particular day of delivery Monday to Friday at no extra cost, as long as we are notified up to 4pm two days before the required delivery day. A premium Saturday a.m. (9-00am to noon) delivery is available, at an additional charge of £17.25 per delivery; if you require this service, it must be specified at the time of ordering. Evening, Sunday and Bank Holiday deliveries are not available.
If you are not at home when the carrier calls, they will leave a card with the telephone number of their local depot. You MUST contact them within 48 hours, quoting the consignment number on the card, to re-arrange another delivery DAY (but you cannot specify a time) otherwise the parcel will automatically be returned to us, and you will then be responsible for any re-delivery charge. Carriers will attempt re-delivery only once, thereafter parcels are returned to us.
We can deliver to friends, neigbours or relatives, or even to workplace addresses, if you have a problem with your home address being unattended Monday to Friday; however, if you do this, make sure the recipient is aware that the delivery is due and is available for the whole of that day. Carriers will not accept alternative delivery addresses (e.g. if not home, deliver to this address instead) unless the alternative address is within 100 metres of the original address.
All deliveries must be signed for and you should keep your receipt. If goods are showing obvious signs of damage in transit upon receipt, please refuse to accept the delivery.
Returns (UK Customers)
You must inform us within 7 working days of receiving your goods of your intention to return, and physically return goods within 14 days, to our address as shown below:
Faux Fur Throws Ltd
c/o Unit 55 Cariocca Business Park
Manchester, M12 4AH.
Your product must be complete, unused and in 'as supplied' condition (e.g., if you have opened theparcel to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product in any way). Goods returned outside these time limits may not be credited or refunded, and held awaiting your instruction for collection or return to you (subject to a re-delivery charge).
If the product is supplied with a clear plastic carry-case, this must also be returned with the product inside. Returning a throw without it being carefully folded as originally supplied is not acceptable, if a throw is returned excessively creased, this does not constitute "as supplied" condition, and we reserve the right to deduct any re-processing costs required to return the goods to that condition.
Please ensure that the goods contain some identification (your name, address and order number on a piece of paper will suffice), otherwise we may have difficulty processing your refund. If you have paid using Amazon Checkout, it will be helpful to quote their reference also (this is the number in the format : XXX-XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX).
The method of return is entirely a matter of your choice. Smaller items are best sent using Royal Mail. With the huge hike in Royal Mail charges from April 2013, Royal Mail are now much more expensive than alternative carriers from most parts of the country for items over 2kg (which our throws invariably are). You can often HALVE the cost of return for larger items by using one of the following online services. There’s no need to use an express service, and, as long as you have informed us of your intention to return within 7 days of receipt of goods and despatched promptly thereafter, we won’t worry if the goods arrive back with us a day or two beyond the official 14 days return period.
- www.Parcel2Go.com –if you want to have the parcel collected from you on a nominated day (at home or work).
- www.CollectPlus.co.uk –if you can’t wait in, but can drop the parcel off at a local convenience store, at a time suitable for you, including weekends and evenings. The site has a postcode search for shops in your area offering this service, with map and details of opening hours. If you wish to return goods using this site, the option to choose is SEND A PARCEL (not RETURN A PARCEL, which is for large businesses with registered returns systems ony)
(Please note; the above are suggestions only, we cannot accept responsibility for the performance of any carrier used to return goods, or any losses incurred, and the responsibility to return within the stated time period remains yours.)
Return Postage Refund
Although returns will be refunded in full, we normally do not offer to cover the cost of actually returning the item. We know that this is common in some industries such as clothing, but unlike these industries we do no import goods cheaply and sell them at huge markups. The vast majority of our goods are made with care in the UK, where we and our suppliers pay fair wages to dedicated workforces. Our throws are also quite heavy items, making the return cost proportionately more expensive.
We will always deal with the return cost if:
- we have (by picking or packing error) sent you different goods (size or fabric range) than what you actually ordered.
- (very rarely) we have supplied goods faulty in manufacture or damaged in transit
However, if you have taken the time and trouble to get a fabric sample of the goods in question prior to ordering it, but still are not 100% happy with your choice, then in this circumstance we will be happy to deal with the return, as well as offering you an exchange (subject to payment or refund of any price difference) or full refund.
In any of these circumstances you MUST contact us before making the return, and we will make the appropriate arrangements. This will be to have the goods collected from you by our nominated carrier on a workday (Mon-Fri), or for you to drop the goods off at a shop local to you, at your own convenience. Under no circumstances will we refund any monies paid for return postage sent back without any prior notification.
Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to some of the questions we get asked most.
Absolutely. All of our web-pages are secure to the highest international standards, as verified by Thawte. We do not handle the processing of payments on our web-pages and do not store or have any access to the card data used for your transaction. This is carried out by SagePay, PayPal or Amazon Payments (according to your choice of payment method). These third-parties are world-renowned and operate to the highest levels of encryption and security.
We offer a no-quibble returns policy, which is in addition to your Statutory rights (UK).
As a true specialist website, we aim to reach the widest possible customer base. We are well aware that some of our luxury UK-made throws are at a higher price than some buyers wish to pay; this is unavoidable due to the cost of highly skilled labour, which is the biggest part of the cost of these items, as well as the highest quality fabrics.
Some years ago we took a decision sell a very small range of less expensive throws from China. These are designed by us and made to our high quality standards, and represent exceptional value for money. You will not find a variety of sizes, optional cushions, or the possibility of custom-made throws in these ranges. Any Made in China goods are marked as such on the product page concerned, and are all at the lowest end of our price range.
The vast majority of our products are made with care and pride in the UK. Variations in the prices of these items are simply due to the differing costs of fabrics concerned. High quality faux furs rank amongst the highest price of any fabrics available. Without getting too technical, the most natural looking faux furs are made with state-of-the-art technology using complex multi-layered cutting and dyeing techniques, which adds to the cost of those fabrics.
We have a transparent pricing policy, which means that we do not artificially inflate the price of goods so that they can be discounted for a sale event or as a new customer inducement; our prices stay the same throughout the year. For this reason, discounts are generally not available to the one-off buyer.
We do have a SALE section of our website where a small number of goods are discounted on the page. These may be goods in end of range fabrics, or where we have secured a one-off special purchase and are able to pass on the saving to our customers. Very occasionally, we may be overstocked in a particular item and may wish to address this on a temporary basis by a price reduction.
We do reward returning customers with a 15% discount off any new order within 30 days of their original purchase. We also occasionally email consenting existing customers, and those who have registered on our website, with seasonal discount promotions.
In reality there is no such thing as free delivery; carriers do not deliver parcels for free! Therefore if an operator offers this, the cost is incorporated into the pricing of the goods. In line with our transparent pricing policy, we believe that you should be fully aware of what you are paying for.
Our premium UK delivery is next working day (for orders placed by 2:00pm and excluding Islands and remote areas), using the award winning services of DPD. We have used DPD for a number of years and found them the most reliable of all the carriers we have used. The service is fully tracked via email or SMS, and you will receive a one-hour delivery timeslot on the morning of delivery. You can also use their interactive App to change the delivery day or give other delivery instructions online.
All of our standard throws weigh over 2 kgs in weight, and are bulky items. Royal Mail Second Class published price (July 2018) is £13.75 for an inferior, non-guaranteed service.
From Autumn 2018 we plan to introduce an alternative, less expensive 3-4 working day service for UK mainland deliveries at a lower price by Hermes. Please select when available in shopping basket before proceeding to checkout.
All of our products carry an unequalled and unprecedented TWO YEAR guarantee, provided that they are used and cleaned in the way recommended. These recommendations vary according to the fabric, and are simplified by our rating of Practicality and Durability. With good care we confidently expect that they will last much longer.
The vast majority of our goods are designed exclusively for ourselves, and made by hand and with pride and care in the UK, supporting British jobs and British Industry. Materials used including faux fur and faux suedes are made in China, Japan and various parts of Europe using state of the art technology. Cushion pads (inners) are made in the UK. In order to be able to offer products to suit all pockets, we have a smaller range of throws at the lowest end of the price range which are made exclusively for us and to our design and specification in China. These are marked as “made in China” in the detailed information on the product pages where applicable.
First, can we be clear, you can be 100% assured that there is no animal fur in any of the products that we sell, nor are any animals used at any stage in the design process.
The actual composition of the faux fur pile contains usually a mixture of acrylic, modacrylic and/or polyester fibres. This varies between different fabrics and results in different textures and different possibilities for colour. Backing fabrics are 100% polyester.
This question is often asked, as shedding was a common problem with older faux fur fabrics; however these have now largely been eliminated with the technological advances of modern manufacturing. When your faux fur products arrive, they may contain a few loose fibres left over from the manufacturing process. A good shake outside or light vacuuming will normally remove these. Thereafter, our furs do not shed fibres under normal conditions of use.
Our products have not been tested for allergies; however, all fibres are 100% artificial, except for feather cushion pads (where available).
As with many fabrics made from artificial fibres, our throws and cushions are not totally fire retardant. They should therefore be kept well away from naked flames and incandescent materials, especially lit cigarettes. Carelessness causes fires; please take care.
Unfortunately, fur fabrics can become creased and compressed when folded in storage and in transit. Usually these will fall out after a few days when the throw is opened out and acclimatises itself to the local conditions . Occasionally however such creases may be a little more stubborn; if this happens, remedy by opening the throw out and covering the affected areas with a damp towel for about an hour. After this time, the underlying fibres should be more flexible and can be gently brushed into place and allowed to dry. Never attempt to iron a throw.
